Reliable Cars - Toyota Camry

Alright, before you say it, I know. “Ew its a Toyota!” But, hold your horses. Toyota not only has the reputation of being the MOST RELIABLE car manufacturer, but offers wonderful cars at amazing prices. Today’s choice? The Camry.

The Camry base model (LE) starts at $24,970 (as seen above). For that much money, we’re talking about a car with all the modern features, amazing looks, and a mileage of 28 city and 39 highway (note - all stock Camrys are 5 seaters). Although Toyota’s aren’t stupidly fast, they handle great and provide even more comfort. So focusing on their specialty of price and mileage, here’s the other models:

  • LE Hybrid

    • $27,270

    • 51 MPG City / 53 MPG Highway

  • SE

    • $26,485

    • 28 MPG City / 39 MPG Highway (Although this car has the same specs as the LE, is has more interior comfort, and exterior design improvements for more sporty vibes)

  • SE Hybrid

    • $28,785

    • 44 MPG City / 47 Highway

  • SE Nightshade Edition

    • $27,185

    • 28 MPG City / 39 MPG Highway (This has all the same features as the SE, but the exterior is all sleekly painted black)

  • XLE

    • $29,970

    • 27 MPG City / 38 MPG Highway (A way more luxurious version of the LE)

    • Available with a V6 for $34,995 providing 22 MPG City / 33 MPG Highway

  • XLE Hybrid

    • $32,170

    • 44 MPG City / 47 MPG Highway

  • XSE

    • $30,420

    • 27 MPG City / 38 MPG Highway (A sporty version of the XLE)

    • Available with a V6 for $35,545 providing 22 MPG City / 33 MPG Highway

  • XSE Hybrid

    • $32,720

    • 44 MPG City / 47 MPG Highway

  • TRD

    • $32,185

    • 22 MPG City / 31 MPG Highway

    • And yes, I’m making another bullet point… This model is my personal favorite, because this makes the Camry nothing shy of a super saloon. It comes with a 3.5L V6, TRD body kit styling (splitters, skirts, diffuser, lip, etcetera) and makes a pretty amazing 301 HP at a curb weight of 3,575 LBS.

However, disregarding my sport-car biased opinion, the Camry with the best ‘bang for your buck’ is definitely LE Hybrid, being one of the cheapest models, providing the highest mileage.
